This is an extract from an email from someone who has never smoked!

As a never-smoker, your friend shows marvellous insight into your plight and recovery. As for ex-smokers, there is certainly something sad about the way some of them behave and perform - you'd think they'd never offended anyone with their smoking in times gone by - talk about hypocrites!!! Phil, It may be hard for you to hear this but take what your friend has e-mailed to you and make it positive. He or she is trying to congratulate you on your victory on remaining smoke-free. At times we do read e-mails and posts and think to ourselves "why the heck did he or she write that?" Yes, we all agree that people who do not smoke do not understand what it is like to quit. We should only be happy for them that they do not have to go through the quitting process like we have! Your thoughts? Melanie _____________________ The SSC Support Team
