Changing
Please don't be discouraged. The hold of nicotine is strong and sure, it grabbed us when we were young and wants to hold us until we are very old.
You have come a long way and you have developed coping mechanisms that work for you. Remember them now and practice, practice, practice. Eventually these habits will become natural responses and you will no longer have to think about not smoking because at some point you will never think of smoking. Oh, you will think of it, but it will be just a thought, not the knawing power of a straight up crave.
When you reach that point, you see more clearly the power that this thing has. It is only after we walk higher up the mountain that we can see the devil in the valley.
Hang in there, we all understand your struggle and feel deeply for you, because your struggle is ours as well.
