I live in (very) rural Tennessee and completely understand deer season!
Have a good time sitting under that tree at 4 am freezing your tail off! :p
I'll never understand...I live in the country, but originally a city gal. We raise chickens and while the rest of the family eat the eggs, I won't. I like big white eggs in a styrofoam carton with a USDA sticker displayed somewhere. Same with my meat!
In any event, break a leg (OMG is that a bad thing to say to someone using a deer stand?) ;)

Yes I'm taking my arsenol with me along with my amo and gun. I don't do the tree stand thing. We live in rural North Dakota and trees are sparse here. No we do the walking for miles in a parallel line and shoot if we scare one up. Or walking tree lines (shelter belts between feilds with 3 to 4 rows of trees) one on each side one down the middle and one at the end because they usually run out a quarter mile ahead and only the one at the end (who is "posting") even sees what ran out.
Aaaah, time to put on the boots, overalls and bright orange and kill me some dinner. And without smoking maybe I'll make it up those hills without gasping for breath.
