Hi, Quit on Friday and today is my fourth day. I have a very sore throat, but am not thinking about it alot b/c I actually feel good! Been a long time since I could say that! I have energy, my sinuses are not killing me when I wake up, and I am not coughing all night. This time is different...no hidden packs, no more hiding from family and friends...I have had lots of opportunities, but I owe it to myself to feel good again. Reading some of your posts helps alot, Thank You. I will not smoke today! You want to hear something totally NUTS! I went to Atlantic City and hung around Casino's all day. It's the only public place in the world where you can still smoke! I'm still not sure if I was testing myself, but it was in the back of my mind all day. Everyone was lighting up all around me all day. Man, I was on edge all freakin day, then I started to lose. WHAT A COMBO. Needless to say, I DID NOT SMOKE. The 2 hour drive home was even tough, but to be honest it is getting easier. Slightly easier and believe me I'm not at all getting cocky! Today we have work, stress and the day to day grind! Let's see what we can do to make today as pleasent as possible. I'm sure I'll be taking a couple of walks today. Thanks everyone for the support. That's what were all here for and these first 2 days I have needed it. I can't relate to my wife or kids right now, they have never been dumb enough to try smoking. I do like the addicted to Bottled Water idea. Funny, but still a reality. I'm not going to smoke today. That's for sure! Thanks Silly. Sounds kind of weird thanking someone for telling me I am screwed and going to feel like crap today, but I know your right. Thanks for the wisdom, I know you've been here! Thanks Hillary. I do feel like having a cig right now, but taking the time to reply to you is already making me feel better for the moment. I haven't felt sick today, so I have my fingers crossed. I'm not smoking TODAY, that's for damn sure! I went out for burgers with my wife and kids last night and was real trembly during and after dinner. We then had to drive for 30 minutes in the car. When I got out of the car I threw my dinner up right on the front lawn. I guess I got myself so worked up I just puked. I feel much better this morning, but day two is just starting. Would appreciate a little words of wisdom...J My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $5.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 45 Seconds: 7

I slept like a rock last night after 2 days of hell. I actually feel pretty good today. Still having cravings, as expected, but the headache is gone. Just throwing a post up here helps alot. I have been taking a lot of walks the past few days, that God the weather in the Northeast US has been mild the last couple of days. Thanks for your posts all, just wanted to let you all know I'm hanging in there and haven't had a butt since Thursday night. I am NOT going to smoke today! Had a tough night. Not that she's supposed to understand, but my 13 year old daughter has been a nightmare during these past couple days. She is grinding on me every second of every day. I know it's not her fault and I know a cig isn't going to make the situation better. It is amazing how strong the cravings become when she starts complaining (and she complains about everything). I had to get up in the middle of dinner last night and go outside and walk around the block. Made me feel better. I've been sleeping like a ROCK! I feel great when I wake up. Day 4!!! I'm not Smoking TODAY! Jimmy, I can relate VERY well with what you're going through with your teenager. I swear my 16-year-old has kicked into some super-action-push-my-buttons-gear since I quit smoking! Hang in there, you CAN do this! Awesome Jimmy. I like the way you end all of your posts with "I will not be smoking today". That is rock solid, no "maybe" in that one! I will not be smoking today either.
