Hey, Let's all step out back and have a cigarette. We don't have to tell anybody and then it will be done with. Whatcha say? :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 255 Amount Saved: $125 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 8 Mins: 40 Seconds: 42

OK, I was feeling a little saucy the other day. I can bemoan this quitting thing for only so long before I have to throw it to the ground and stomp all over it. Actually, most every day I feel like slipping out back. But I don't. Thanks Danielle for letting this post fly. I was looking for affirmations and that's what I got. Except though I got an affirmation from you Phil,I'm worried about you yet. Thanks everyone, I'm right there with ya. What am I going to do with my deviant self now that I'm no longer a delinquent? Perhaps I'll have to take up a cause. You are not all clear if you are listening to THAT SOB. In medical terms, SOB stands for Short Of Breath, and that's exactly what I would be if I went out back with the devil. So let's go grab a cuppa apple cinnamon spice tea, take some deep breaths, and chat about stuff like gardening and shopping and shoes and purses and cleaning house (or NOT) and husbands or boyfriends or girlfriends or wives and our jobs and our pets and our kids and our grandkids and stay up till the wee hours giggling and chattering and never, ever going out that back door. Or we could go to Wal Mart which stays open all night and spend our reward money on snacks and elastic waisted track suits! Love and Hugs to you, Denise My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 59 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,799 Amount Saved: $442.5 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 0 Mins: 2 Seconds: 28

Imallclear, Psssssssssst, CAN WE TALK? I'd love to get to know you better and I think you need a change of focus in your attitude. I love the attitude, I just think you need to aim it somewhere effective, like at the addiction instead of at the quit. There is such a difference when you fight the addiction, when you say I'm choosing to quit as opposed to some nebulous "someone" has decreed that I quit. So what say you? What time are you usually on? Right now it's midnight California time so you can figure what the time diff is from when it posts. And Trailbum, I think you did exactly right, telling Imallclear to go out alone! I love that you said "I don't smoke anymore"! And I hope that chases out the Pssssts! But if not, I have a Psssst of my own I usually say. It goes something like this: When I have been smoke free for as long as I've smoked (which is 40 years), I will reevaluate my life and see which part I liked better (I'm betting on the smoke free part, though). So go Psssst someone else, I've got 39 years and 10 months to go yet.... (I don't actually SAY all that, I usually just sing or hum to the tune of the Beatles song, "will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 92"? Which is the age I will be, if I live that long, to be smoke free for 40 years!) With love, Denise My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,864 Amount Saved: $465 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 6 Mins: 3 Seconds: 39
