Nicotine puts special receptors in your brain for only nicotine. After a time of no nicotine they go to sleep and then they don't bother you. But if you smoke even one puff, or go to a smoky bar or a smoky anyplace, they wake up like hungry baby birds, and demand to be fed, immediately. So expect, not extra or more withdrawals, just more craves. And just because I've been there, I'll tell you one more thing. The thought keeps running around in your head, you gave in that time, give in now.
Don't listen, don't give the junkie thinking any more power, and go back to the beginning with your coping skills and use every one you have to put those receptors back to sleep.
One step at a time, one day at a time, you do so deserve the freedom.
