Jan - I didn't get a chance to respond to your first post so first of all, congrats on the success of Zyban...We are so excited for you too. I know there are some Zyban/patch users...maybe we need a new thread. I don't know what to think.....if you aren't craving nicotine, it seems a shame to put it in your system......on the other hand......we want to arm ourselves with all the tools possible....Let's see what people have to say.....I'm starting a new thread.

I have to admit, I was skeptical about taking Zyban/wellbutrin. How could this little pill take away my desire to smoke? Take away that little "hit" of nicotine every time we puffed? How could this little purple pill make the smoking experience flat and empty, leaving you asking, "why am I even doing this???"
I never would have believed it before...but boy, I'm living it now. With one day to go before I give these things up, I don't have much desire to smoke. And Zyban is totally nicotine free!!!!
This is a weird experience, but wonderful at the same time. Imagine me!...with no desire to smoke.
Looking forward to Saturday.
Cheers,
Jan

I do believe I'm well on my way. My original plan was to use the 21mg patch as well. But now I'm questioning if I need it, or perhaps a reduced strength. I haven't decided yet. Any zyban/patch quitters with some thoughts on this?
Cheers, Jan

Bump.
I posted this earlier today and wanted to know if any quitters using the zyban/patch combo needed to start out using the highest patch. I know this depends on how much you smoked in a day. Without the zyban I would definitely be using the highest patch level. With zyban, I don't know if I need to, because I'm not really craving.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated because this Saturday is my quit date, and I need to pick up some patches tomorrow.
Thanks guys,
Cheers, Jan

Thanks guys!!!! I really appreciate your being here.
River, I'm doing well today. Not fretting over tomorrow. Usually by now I'd be beside myself. I'm actually looking forward to this. How are things with you today? I'm soooo glad you didn't smoke.
Seeing how beagles love snow, they can look forward to what I hear will be a good dumping Sunday and Monday!!!! All around the GTA. I'm in Brampton so we might get a bit more than you. Better get the snow shovels out so our non smoking behinds can shovel away!!!!
Phil, thanks for the vote of confidence, and I'm really excited. I'm really pleased with the way the Zyban is working. I'll be under your watchful eye? I hope so!!!! For sure I won't smoke.
Cheers guys,
Jan
