Hi guys and thanks for all your support. This slip has put the heeby jeebies into me. I know what it was like when I slipped in a past quit and I was back to my old habit within 6 weeks. I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN. The thought of that slavery is just too depressing. I have decided that alcohol was a definite contributing factor to my slip so I'm abstaining from that for a while too. Thanks for all your kind words and for not judging me - it helps more than you will ever know. Ever onwards All the best Sharon My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 336 Amount Saved: 88.77 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 19 Mins: 51 Seconds: 23

Hi folks I'm back from my trip and I'm sorry to say that I did smoke. I went to a party and had one beer to many and felt quite tipsy. I smoked half a cigarette. Of course, it was horrible. I spent the next day giving myself hard kicks up the butt and feeling pretty disappointed in myself. Still though I don't see my slip as a reason to start smoking again. I have started my quit again. I've decided to keep my old stats because I consider it to be a minor slip - not one to be complacent of but not one major enough to feel I still haven't come some distance on this quit. Sooo deep breath and off I go again. I'm trying not to be disappointed in myself but in truth I am a little. More importantly is that I stick with this though and remember NOPE NOPE NOPE. All the best guys. Hi folks Yep - I hear every single one of ya and I fully intend to continue with my quit - I had a blip, it's over, move on. I'm minding a friends kids for the weekend (10 months and 3 years). They are keeping me busy - don't even have time to think about cigs. Gotta go - little one awake. Chat soon. Sharon - 1 puff = 2 packs a day for me. I'm an addict. I will always be addicted to nicotine. I can't control that, but I can control my actions. I will not take that one puff. It's too dangerous. Learn from the slip and march on. Sharon, Don't look where you fell, see why you tripped. Learn from it and move on, you have a great quit going. Best Wishes Penitent d913
