Sharon, If you smoked even 1/2 a smoke, you are going to go back to a lot of the crap that hell week was. Please Please Please, put ALL your coping skills back into play because this is a really crucial time for you. See yourself as an addict. Believe it, take responsiblity for it, and CHOOSE to come out free on the other side. I empathize with the disappointment you must feel, but don't dwell on that, dust yourself off and put those coping skills RIGHT BACK IN PLACE. OK? Hi Sharon - I agree, it was a minor slip...you did not go out and buy a pack of cigarettes the next day...you learned...and you are still here quitting. Congrats on a lesson learned. It happens to the best of us, Sharon. And good for you for continuing your quit right away. That's the best choice to make. Don't forget how wonderfully well you're doing! Just look past the "slip" and carry on like nothing happened. All the best to you, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 68 Amount Saved: $18 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 56 Seconds: 5

Sharon, way to go on continuing your quit, half a cigarette...having one beer to many and only half of it i'd say you did quite well. I'm not so sure i could be that strong if i had one while drinking! Remember NOPE! McLaughlin, Take this slip and learn from it! Take some time to look back at the contributing factors and thought patterns that were involved in your slip and put together a plan to overcome temptation in this situation for the future. Don't be too hard on yourself, this is a learning experience and only practice makes perfect. Keep fighting the good fight! Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Sharon, glad you came back quickly!!! So what, a slip, just get back up, and continue on and come here first!! If you are at a party and you cant get to a computer, tough, can't smoke till you come here first (hey it works for me while driving).
