You are doing well Penquin. One thing I love since I quit smoking is fresh cut flowers. I never realized how they scent an entire room until quitting. They smell great! This is the story of a Penquin who wanted to learn how to fly. She was sick of failing and just getting by. She tried and tried with all her might, but just didn't seem to be able to get it right. Then one day she decided she had enough she begain to take off even though it was rough. She opened her own Rookery and invited others to join she knew she needed help to keep it goin. She was determined and really started to fight, and before she knew it she began her flight. ....I'm no mother goose but I am so proud of you and your new attitude. I believe in you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 517 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,358 Amount Saved: $1809.5 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 15 Mins: 27 Seconds: 1

Penquin, Listen to me and listen well. You do not abuse this site. You use it for the purposes it is intended for. That isn't abuse. One more thing. Do NOT quit quitting until you get it right. Do NOT quit quitting until you get it right. Do NOT quit quitting until you get it right. That is your commitment to yourself. You WILL get it right and when you do, I will be here to celebrate with you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 547 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,954 Amount Saved: $1914.5 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 6 Mins: 30 Seconds: 58

Penguin, Peace is one of the greatest things we can have. Hold on to your peace with everything you have. I agree with you that perspective has so much to do with the success of the quit. Once you find the missing puzzle piece, it just all comes together and you know that you CAN succeed in this quit process. Hang on tight and use your tools. There will be hills but none that you can't climb. They probably won't be anywhere near as bad as those you have already battled. I am very proud of you. This is for YOU! Monica, I just saw your meter. I must have missed something. I went back to look for a post from you and didn't see any. You know, we are here for you as well. We are here for anyone struggling to take their life back from this horrible addiction. I cannot count the times I have lost quits. You are not alone in this battle. If I missed your post, I apologize but know that if you post we are here to help not to judge. Without the support of those here on this site I would be a smoker today. You didn't know me when I quit but I believe I hold the biggest whiner award from all the SSC members. You keep fighting the good fight and you will win. I've watched you and seen you fight. You have what it takes to succeed in this endeavor. Do not give up on yourself. Here we go Penquin. Day Two... This day belongs to YOU! You are in control. You are smarter and stronger than the addiction. You are breaking free of those chains that bind you to the cigarette just for today. You do not smoke. Just for today, five minutes at a time. You can do anything for five minutes. One step at a time. I BELIEVE IN YOU! You don't have to right now. All you have to do right now is not light that next cigarette for five minutes at a time. You will begin to believe in yourself as you progress.
