Financially, how do you all manage?

Someone on this board fits into a category you mention. Some at teens or students in college at home, some live with relatives, some live on their own. As for myself personally, I draw disability but my husband works. My disability does NOT cover my medication, and just a portion of my doctor visits. It's been 3 yrs now and currently is up for review for continuation. When I first had to cease work, I owned my own home, had a very good paying job, good medical, etc. During the time period before I could draw disability, with no income, we had to file for bankruptcy and lost our home of 12 yrs.

I hope this isn't too personal a question, but I wonder how many of you are on your own? Do you have family financial support? Do you have to rely on someone? Are you able to get disability? I'm on disability, but I'm not living in the US(I think this is a US site). May I ask what disability covers for a month? Do they cover meds? I ask because I am a US citizen, but moved to Canada as a baby. Sometimes I wonder if I would return, but as solicalized medicine is not in the US, the costs of living would probably have me living on the streets. It's tough as it is here, and any income I make is deducted...just really curious. Thanks.
