How's the kids, Grace? How about you? Hope you were able to dodge the germs and made it through 'bug-free' and 'smoke-free'! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 63 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,175 Amount Saved: $504 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 12 Mins: 46 Seconds: 30

The gospel according to puke... NOPE. A cigarette will not improve the situation. In fact, I feel a bit of naseua coming on even imagining the smell of vomit, clorox, crap, lysol and cigarette smoke combined! YUCK! :( I have five kids and been to that movie before. Virus where you don't know which end to hang in the toilet first. You run out of bathrooms and buckets. Battle the kids to get a phenergan suppository up them :8o: Every two days another kid comes down with it, and to top it all off, Mom gets it :gasp: Now who's going to take care of everyone? This shall pass and you know it. You might be able to laugh about it later on, when the rawness wears off! Stay clean, sanitary and smoke-free! God Bless you and yours! No Kidding, Missyfit? What will they think of next? I know now they have a chicken pox vaccine that our kids didn't have either. With 4 kids at the time I spent 8 weeks battling that one (2 weeks incubation per kid). You have lots of sympathy from us, Grace. It's certainly no fun and the washer and dryer get quite a workout! Hope it's only a 24 hour bug and everyone feels better quickly! Wish I could do all those graphics...someone posted a cute puke face once that would be very appropriate right now... BTW, those are get well soon balloons I had delivered! Hey Grace...Hang in there girlfriend! You can get through this and sounds like you're way too busy to smoke anyways. Been there done that with the sick kids. Wished at the time i hadnt' smoked because my place would've smelled better if I wasn't busy outside. Anyways, just let me know if you need to chat on messaging. gonna, 4 kids is one thing.. 4 kids at home all sick with chickenpox at the same time? That's a whooooole 'nother story. Makes me tired just thinking about it! lol grace, the 100 day thing has been a subject around here sooooo many times. I have no idea why certain milestones revive old feelings but they sure do. In the end, it's how we handle it that's most important. I'm guessing that you're experiencing this type stress for the first time since you've been smoke-free?... and as we all know, when we were stressed before... we turned to cigarettes. Your brain is probably trying to make that association again. Just short-circuit the thought process with distraction and/or replacement... and next time it should be weaker or possibly even non-existant. I hope getting out to the open house helps... a change in routine should do you good. I hope the flu passes quickly at your house... and you keep hanging in there. Tomorrow is a new day... and 100 days is an fantastic achievement :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/2/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 643 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,871 Amount Saved: $2295.51 Life Gained: Days: 68 Hrs: 3 Mins: 25 Seconds: 16

Oh my, so you have the family flu starting AND the 100 day "Screamin Cheata Willies" (sorry, but I had to laugh when I read that phrase LOL )... I don't know what it is about this time frame in a quit but anything added on the top of it just seems to aggravate the feeling. Keep hangin' on. I promise, it passes... probably quicker than the flu will. Oh... and phenergan comes in a gel you rub on your wrist now! Figures... They come out with the cool stuff after my kids are grown. :| See you at your 100 day celebration! Hi grace, I just thought I'd check in and see how you and yours were doing and I'm sooo sorry to hear you've caught the bug too. It's tough being "the management" and not feeling good. Hope you all feel better soon .... and great job on keeping your quit in perspective. Another smoke inducing situation bites the dust!
