And for the new among us, we are pleased, your family and friends are delighted. Give mother-time just a small amount of time to undo what you have been doing for decade(s). That is all that she asks of you! Mother time is the healer of craves, as it is healer of other situations we face in our lives. If you ever had a love and lost that love, you dont get over it overnight. It can be a painful event as perhaps many have experienced. The therapy, find a substitute for the situation until you get well. With cigarettes that is where your tool box or coping mechanism comes into play; distract, deny and do not dwell on the urges. The habit of smoking is developed over months and years; smoking becomes us and in the beginning, the quit is difficult to deal with. You will be able to cope and complete this journey, by convincing yourself that you do not want or need a smoke. You convince yourself with self talk and by using other tools in your toolbox. Other coping skill: deny, distract, strength, dignity, love for yourself and love for the others in your life. So chin up, stay the course, lets cope and post here often for your dose of real time quitter support. May the power be with you.
