Major Crave!!!!

Good for you!!!!! You did the right thing. 20 days is fantastic and you were right to argue with yourself about why not to purchase that pack. It won't make you feel any better about the stressful interview, it will actually make it work. You need 10 minutes of rest and relaxation to calm down after the interview.....maybe snuggle up with a blanket and set a timer for 10 minutes and close your eyes. Good for you for being strong!!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 322 Amount Saved: $77 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 6 Mins: 56 Seconds: 44

Valic - I wouldn't post if I actually thought you were going to smoke...I'd make you wait a long, long time before you got that first response. The one thing that time does, is it seems to take away the power of those major craves (providing we are distracted). I guess that's why we have the post + 10 replies rule....usually by then the strength of the craving has passed. Good for you on passing a major test! Whew! Glad you made it through that one! And your right, if you had of succumbed, you would have felt dizzy, a bit sick, and perhaps a nice whopping headache to boot! But you stayed strong and pulled through! Nice work. Hope you get the job, Valic. Valic, Here is three. You did the right thing, besides if you smoked. The only thing it would do, is make you a stressed out smoker. Tell the junkie to take a hike. You are stronger, you just proved it. Give yourself a nice reward for beating the junkie again. Just got back from a job interview where they interviewed me for 3 hrs! It was one of the most stressfull interviews I have ever been on! And when I got out old Nicodemon was on my back saying "Just have one to relax" and ya know what I almost succumbed. But I told myself I would do my errands first. So I got some squash for Thanksgiving, and some biscuits and cookies. I drove past the gas station and I actually pulled in. I even had my money out before the real me said Hold IT!!!! Having a smoke is going to make you sick not help you relax. It will make you dizzy and want to throw up, how is that relaxing? And then you will have to smell it on you. Not to mention feel bad that you couldn't keep your quit! So I turned my car around and came home and here I am. Posting before I smoked. Now I will wait for 5 responses or so, breathe in and out and tben I will play Sims. Boy was that a close one though!~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 103 Amount Saved: $106 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 34 Seconds: 12
