Does anyone have trouble concentrating now that they have quit? I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or what..but I do. I can't think clearly often. Maybe I was always like this, I'm not really sure...this might just be an excuse to go smoke. I know I'm not going to do that, but I was just wondering if anyone here does have trouble with concentration.

I have the same problem but it seems to be getting better now. I am still not 100% there yet. We just have to let "time" take it's time. Keep Strong! Lol...Oh Gonna....you better go eat more fish...I just finished 1/2 of a shrimp ring so I am pretty smart right now. Lack of concentration, irritability, depression, euphoria....you name it...I've done it...You are perfectly as normal as the rest of us (is that a good thing??) Yes, I did have that problem during the first 2, 3 weeks ... A quitter friend also had similar problems. It's getting better, day by day, Ryan! :) Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 78 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 782 Amount Saved: $390 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 12 Mins: 34 Seconds: 1

Oh you bet I have trouble concentrating. I'm OK with a good movie or tv show. But I love to read, and right now, forget it. I think it just goes with the territory. It does get better though. I do!!! Maybe it's an O-2 overdose after 34 years of smoking. I have trouble concentrating and remembering things. I got worried so I did some reading and am adjusting my diet a little to include more brain food (fish, berries, etc...) LOL Still haven't noticed a difference though! I also sleep more, although it is interrupted sleep, and I think I've become a bit lazy. My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 64 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,217 Amount Saved: $512 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 14 Mins: 49 Seconds: 48

Ryan2240x, Many quitters experience trouble concentrating after they quit. Know that you are not alone and that this will pass. Until it does break up any task you have into smaller chunks and take mini breaks in between. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team
