Time is a healer

Thank you for sharing that, Phil. It always helps to know it gets better. I particularly like that you said "I feel as though I would never go back" and I can't wait for that feeling! Though I am committed, it's still soooo new and fragile! I like to think positive, but sometimes it's really hard, and posts like this give me something to look forward to! The greatest healer of all - that's time. It's just a nice thing to know, especially if and when we're struggling. Its a calming thought and helps you through the rough times. Great post, Phil. Morning everyone, Just dropping by I am at work for a few mins and try not to work Sundays but once in a while........ Anyway what I am itching to say after my limited quit is that the cravings dont go away as quickly as you would like and please dont expect them to go for ever! What DOES happen (and it's happening to me now) is that you take control of them. For the first few weeks or days depending on your luck not smoking the cravings are at the foreground of your mind and take over control of your feelings. Then as you become accustomed to not smoking they GRADUALLY fade in to the background and are less important but they are atill there.I can feel the craving right now but it will pass and I have more important things to think about(Like what's for lunch?) You will KNOW when this is happening to you and it is great Get the idea?? Epping Forest is the largest public open space in the London area, at almost 6,000 acres. It stretches 12 miles from Manor Park in East London to just north of Epping in Essex. As well as being a popular area for recreation and enjoyment it is also of national and international conservation importance with two thirds of it being designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation. You see Mr Ed I know all about it . :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 138 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,076 Amount Saved: $552 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 6 Mins: 5 Seconds: 27
