Butterfly, Faith, Trailbum-
Thanks for your replies! So far my shingles aren't so bad, but a little annoying, so I'm glad of that, and hope it stays that way. As for the blood sugar, Faith, thank you for your input. I, for some reason, think it is a combination of menopause and quitting smoking. I don't think it's hypoglycemia or diabetes. I have never been one of those people who could eat a candy bar and drink a pepsi in the middle of the afternoon. If I did, I'd have a sugar coma (the drop in blood sugar), in about 2 hours, and feel horrible. So, I've always had to keep the sugar to a minumum except after meals with other foods. But it seems like days I haven't really had any sugar, other than the sugar coming from carbs, I still fight the sugar level dropping. For some reason I do think it's related to menopause. I think hot flashes and sugar comas are cousins, maybe. Glad your doctor saw some relationship, Faith. I talked to mine yesterday, and she was not hearing what I was saying, so I gave up. I'm going to pay attention to what I eat, when it happens, etc, and go from there.
By the way... Chocolate is still in my diet! As far as chocolate goes -- never give it up! ha! Those little dove bars are my chocolate fix these days!
