Great job, Terri! I am lucky not to spend much time in the presence of smoke but I know what you mean. Some of the break rooms at work people smoke and the ash trays are in there. Wow. What a stench. I have heard a lot of people write that they don't find alcohol to be the trigger they expected. Maybe it's only if you get sloppy drunk that you are at great risk. I suppose there is a side of us that thinks the alcohol is "reward" in and of itself. Don't know. Stay strong and long (long quit that is) QM My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 528 Amount Saved: $104 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 23 Mins: 14 Seconds: 17

Last night hubby and I went out to dinner. Usually a beer drinker, had a couple glasses of wine, still afraid of that trigger. We stopped in at the local piano bar, it was still pretty early, not very crowded. There was some smoke in the air, not much. Had absolutley no desire to smoke. I watch people smoke, and think OMG that is so gross. Anyway, on the drive home, all I could smell was cig smoke on my clothes, my hubby thougth I was nuts, he couldn't smell it. I was mad, irritated, could not wait to get in the shower! To think only a few months ago, I would of smoked a pack and not thought twice about it. I am so happy that I quit, alcohol is not as big a trigger as I thougth it would be, I am still very careful. Keeping about from "girls night out", and shots! Have a great weekend! Way to go Ter - 44 days and you doing awesome. Sometimes I like the smell of smoke in the air (if it's outside) but I can't stand the smell of it on clothes, in hair, etc. I never realized that I smelt like that?? Yikes! The other day, my friend was telling me that the lady whom I was talking to had very bad breath. I didn't notice. I thought "Geesh...what if I get back my sense of smell and I discover that I really stink!!!??"
