Thanks for the ideas. My parents probably would love it if I did something in the garden. Then again, my mom's a bit of a control freak...
Good idea about the s**** book. I spent a year in Australia and took a ton of pictures that I still haven't put into an album. That was 6 years ago!
I think part of it is that my motivation is so low. I'm bored but I don't feel like doing much.
Hi Sarah,
Are you the one who lives with your parents?
If so, can you go outside in the yard?
I find pulling weeds is fun, I swear, it gets my mind off my anxiety. Anything a little physical. Just think how much your parents would love it if you did something to the yard. If you live in an apartment, try cleaning out a closet, or start a project. Maybe paint something.
Do you have a lot of pictures? Why not start a s****book. You can have your mom pick up some supplies.
I have a baby at home, so I am never bored. lol
I chain smoke too. lol
I feel ya. I try to watch movies & TV & it gets boring after a while, so does the internet. I've been reading 2 computer books to try to teach myself some more knowledge but I've been so run down...I've been laying in bed alot during the day just like my old self after I dropped out of college. Been chain smoking too alot from this boredom & madness, Reminiscing about my life laughing to myself about the fun & crazy times I used to have ,that's the only time I've really been happy at all besides when I run around the house & play with my German Shepherd. He's a trip.
I don't know about any of the other severely agoraphobic people here, but I am currently going out of my mind with boredom! On one hand, I think this may be a sign that I am starting to get better-for the last few weeks, I didn't have time to be bored< I was so busy panicking and obsessing and basically freaking out. But now, I just don't know what to do with myself. TV's only fun for awhile, going online is fine but not for the whole day, I can't seem to get into any books lately, though I have read one novel in my month of being housebound. I walk around the house or talk on the phone. What do other housebound agoraphobics do? How do you occupy your mind and your time like this.
Sarah
