Thanks for the "welcome"! I've spent a lot of time here today reading these. It has helped! This looks like a wonderful site, and I'm looking forward to "knowing" everyone better!

Hello and Welcome New Quitters I would like to reiterate what has been said on this site many times, your quit is the here and now, at this present moment. Deal with the present only and conquer the craves and triggers one by one. Tomorrow waits until tomorrow. Stay determined and dont allow the craves to undermine your will to quit; use distractions and follow your plan. Other people beginning their quit around the same time frame have formed their own support team or group. You might ask the SCC moderators about this and see if you can form a team. That way you can all look forward to enjoying the beach together when you reach day 50. I along with several others are approaching the one year mark, many are in the 6 through 10 months others are in one to the six month. These quitters are not unlike you starting off just a few short months ago. Guess what, it can be done! Try real hard to make this quit stick; you have yet to realize how wonderful it is to be smoke free. Im happy for you and Happy New Year. Stickin to it. Stickintoit, Thank you for taking the initiative to welcome our new members. You've raised a very valid point. Some days all we can do is take it one minute, one hour, one day at a time. Interesting, Welcome to the SSC! Don't forget to also go through our online quit program. We are happy to hear you are finding our forums helpful. Stay close and don't be afraid to reach out when you need help. Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team
