Yep, believing in yourself is a key to this quit thing! and we have loads of stamina, too. denise My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 649 Amount Saved: $157.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 39 Seconds: 1

I got myself into this mess. I did get a little help my friends to help get me started and get me hooked. After that I just put it gear, hit the cruise control and picked up one trigger after other trigger along the way. Now my life is a web of triggers so many I cant keep track of them. How am I ever going to get myself out of this mess? I try to keep quit but I get broadsided time and time again. My will is tested, re-tested and re-tested. The beginning days I am most vulnerable and the attacks are relentless. Here have one, go ahead and have one, no please go ahead and have one, for me please! To stay quit, I immediately pry myself from the situation and applied a coping tool. I tackle each obstacle head on, and focus on defeating it individually. I dont look ahead for the next one to happen; I know it will be waiting for me. I am only concerned about getting over the immediate obstacle, the one that is presently in my face. It is a journey that we do, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. And then one day, one day there you be, smoke free and independent. Believe in yourself.

Cheermon and Marie I really didn't not mean to give that impression, so sorry. Let me see how many days I have. Let's take a peek! I was just thinking how often a smoke enters my mind, maybe once a week now. It is not a crave, it is just a smoke thought. Yesterday I started to thing about a smoke and them my lungs starting hurting me. I smoked way to long and that party needs to be over forever whether I like it or not. Keep smiling, may the quit stay with you forever, proud of you guys. Hey Stickin...That is how I manage, one day at a time. I used to manage it 1 second at a time during my really dark days of craving or just plain wanting one. I did it, and so can anyone else who wants their crave. I'm with Marie, I thought you caved but you proved me wrong!!! Stay with it because it is so worth it. I finally made it over that hump and started thinking like a non-smoker. It was hard but so worth it. Hugs and keep your quit Kim My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 152 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,817 Amount Saved: $615.6 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 10 Mins: 55 Seconds: 21
