Lizzie.. Is that really true about the 17 weeks for the brain to level off? INTERESTING!! That is something for me to reach out for. It is nice to be into this quit and still have different levels of healing to look forward to. Did your read that? Suzie, I been there too. You will start finding days getting better. I found it went like this. In the first month I felt off EVERY MORNING. Then...as time went by..some mornings went much better with a few yuck ones here and there. Then they all started to be...just so so. Not bad....but not special either. Now... to my surprise :p... I am having some good mornings mixed with my so..so mornings. Soooooo I have gone from all bad.... to bad mixed with so..so.... then... all so...so...and now so....so mixed with good. I have no idea how long till there is mostly good with a few so..so's YIKES.... did I make any sense!! LOL I think we get that angry feeling when we can't have the ones we use to like the most. We had a very warm day today. The snow is melting and it actually got warmer than they expected. (65degrees!! YIPEE) I associate a good smoke outside with coffee surveying how all my trees and shubs suvived the winter. So when I got home from work I had that eddgie feeling. I told myself...NO WAY... I will enjoy this wonderful day anyway. AND.. so I did. Don't give up now. You are about to turn the corner in a couple of weeks. Hope this encouraged you Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 51 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,036 Amount Saved: $227.97 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 17 Mins: 17 Seconds: 15

susie Thank you for sharing your emotions with us. I wish you thousands of serene and happy days, just remember the interaction of Yin (empty) and Yang (full). Nothing is stable, full becomes empty and empty turns to be full. stay well, mitri :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 36 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 182 Amount Saved: $36 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 36

Hey Susie, Yep, please don't rule out medication. I take one for anxiety attacks and it's not addictive. In fact, I can't tell that I've taken anything at all. When I quit smoking, my anxiety attacks came back on me. What's with that? Anyway, my doctor adjusted my medication and I'm doing good as far as the anxiety attacks go. Don't let your depression get out of hand. That's the main thing. If your doctor recommends that you go on a medication, you really should do it. It's a lot better than the alternative which is, being stuck in that black hole. Oh yea, I know about that depression too. I suffered from it after being diagnosed with diabetes. I wasn't in a state of depression for a real long time but Lord, it was horrible. I just compare it to being trapped in a deep, black hole. Don't go there, okay? It helps too to keep talking about it. Stay Strong and Very Impressive Stats There Girl!! Good resolve, Susie. I hear you with the blah thing. I was diagnosed with mild depression before I quit smoking, which made the quit challenging. It still is. I'm nearly at 9 weeks smoke free and still have "blah" days, even with the patch and Zyban. The difference now is, I know tomorrow will be better, and if I'm feeling down, I try to accept it and not fight it anymore. The more I fight it the worse I feel. We can all do this - ONE DAY AT A TIME Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 59 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,789 Amount Saved: $531 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 16 Mins: 54 Seconds: 23
