2 Weeks...Whats the Deal

17 years ago 0 948 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hello Thats the problem with this addiction, I hear you never know when a craving is going to hit you. Whether you are a new quitter or an old quitter. Do you know what may have triggered it? Maybe if you figure that part out you will know what to stay away from. Keep going though, you can keep this quit! Try some deep breathing exercises and see if that helps. Keep posting, I feel that helps a lot and there are a lot of really terrific people on this forum to help you. So hang in there!! You can do this Karen My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29 Amount Saved: $5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 42 Seconds: 39

April, It is Mercy. I was thinking of you and wondering how you are doing. Yes.... I had the same thing happen to me at the two week mark. It lasted for a bit and let up. I had the same thing at the month mark. Just go with the flow. You can do it. Congrats on two weeks April! Thats huge and I think its time to reward yourself! Go buy yourself some shoes or a get your nails done I had a really rough time the other night when I guy I work with left his smokes laying around. All of the sudden I jonesed like day one. I told him I quit and he rubbed it in my face saying how good they taste. Then I realized that he was just jelous. anyway... stay strong. I think it'll always be a challenge but look on the bright side, you are no longer a slave. I think I remember week 3 referred to as Blah Week. Hang in there, the hardest part is over. Read a book, take a walk, take a bath, take a nap. You can always just read and post. There are a ton of old posts that will inspire you. April, I have tried quitting about a zillion times this past two and a half years and I've quit okay, but for some reason I get to the two week mark and I cave. DON"T do it! It's that damn nicoDEMON trying to get you to dirty your lungs. I don't know what it is about the two week thing, but I will be so happy when I get past it this time. Patience, April ... Patience. This journey of self-discovery is like an awakening w/unexpected twists and turns along the way. Just hold on tight and stay focused on the moment (which is where the power is). You are just beginning this journey. Be gentle and kind w/yourself and patient.
