Still having low grade craves but nothing I can't handle. Haven't been white knuckleing it lately. Kind of had a rougher one last night when my son came to visit. He doesn't smoke but I guess I must associate my smoking with him. Way weird but this to shall pass he is so happy, he's been working on me for at least 15yrs. Today is my first day at my day job without smoking. Hoping it will turn out well. Time to get busy. Have a good day everyone. Congrats on your progress - hang in there at work. Push past any cravings, it gets easier although at first it just felt weird to me not to smoke at work. It got more 'normal' feeling not to smoke there in a very short time. Your doing well - Hell Week over! Week one is tough and routines and people - argh - they show you where you are used to those moments. Keep to your new routines and keep your PLAN close at hand. Congratulations. You can do it. Each day is one more day. Look how great you are doing. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 365 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,196 Amount Saved: $492.75 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 18 Mins: 54 Seconds: 28

One year was good - I was very giddy - but I think I celebrated seven days just as much. Those first months were harder and tougher. Keep hanging in there. These early minutes - hours. Those are tough work and this place is great. We all get it. I can't believe I hit one year. It took me months of getting down to those final few and I dragged that out forever it felt. I am so stubborn. But I guess that is also why this quit stuck. I am so stubborn. I decided to quit. I am not going to start again. Even with a crave - and I got them. The hubby helped by not giving into my whining. lol. It helps to have that support. Pat yourself on the back the first seven to ten I got rough. - No it was day 10 I think. I got nasty day ten - some major life stress hit and I got nasty. lol. Now life keeps dumping stress and I just found I can keep laughing it off. I am so glad I found my funny bone again after that week. lol. Keep it up rock star! We all love quitters around here. :) I love saying that. It makes me laugh and that is how I hit a year. Anything that made me laugh - that was my "new" habbit. I got hooked on laughing. rt, Is something triggering this? Keep yourself busy and let us help. Take some coping mechanisms with you to work and keep them close. Post if you need us :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
