Sluggish & Sleepy

Yup, I am currently only on Zyban, but have quit many times before. Each time I just want to sleep! My doctor said cigs really rev you up, I guess it's your body's natural reaction and your metabolism will get back to normal eventually. Good luck to you and hope you enjoyed the Baklava!!!!! Isn't this a great site?

Sometimes a nap is just a nap. :)

Those are the days I feel I just have to force myself to go out and do something. Go out to a mall look around, call a friend and go for a coffee or just grab a book or magazine head out to a cafe and have a treat. Sometimes just getting out of the house can give you some energy back.

It may not be the not smoking it could be the change in season. I don't know where you live but I feel that way every year, smoking or not, around this time of year.

Duckie, Have you eaten anything today? Besides the baklava dough, I mean? If you ate a couple of eggs or something with protein in it you might feel better. A nap is wonderful, but not if you burn the baklava! :gasp: Have you eaten a lot of sugary foods lately? Tis the season for pure junk foods! It could be that you are doing the blood sugar drop which goes WAY below normal about 2 hours after you eat them, even if you aren't diabetic. And sometimes, you just have to huddle up all day. Hi Duckie - I know there have been times when I have been really sleepy/tired during my quit (especially at the end of the day) When I used to smoke, I would smoke and rev myself up...now I just go to bed earlier....I think the new habit is MUCH better for my health! 55...or would that be 56 days now...looks good on you! Hello Dear Friends. How many of you are still feeling sluggish and sleepy? I swear today has been the far worst than any other day I have experienced yet. Is this common at this far into my quit? I made a pan of baklava and holy cow! I jsut want to lay on the kitchen floor for the next 3 hours while it bakes.
