I've been too MIA from here! I've worked in excess of 300 hours (non-traditional hours as I try to work hours that don't interfere with my family life but I've been very bad at balancing work and family life the last 3 weeks). I'm in accounting and almost finished with 2006 extensions for US taxes.
That boring stuff aside, I feel badly that I haven't been around. I remember someone posting to me that a non-smokers life is busier than a smokers - that is proving true enough for me.
I've also been diagnosed with kyphoscoliois - we've always suspected scoliosis but now that it's confirmed, I don't feel badly for always whining "but my back hurts", I go for an MRI 12 March. Finally, my sister is trying to get pregnant the unconventional way (fertility issues) - so much going on, most of it good.
I think of you all daily though!
Marie

Thank you all!
No fat rebate coming here :(
True Kiwi - I've been struggling with work - I took a part-time role that has developed into a full-time position. My boss, the President, is leaving it to me to "be as high-level or as mid-level" as "I want". They need HR and office managerial assistance - which mean 5 days a week and that wasn't the plan - my husband would prefer part-time at best and me to be more of a homemaker - a role I'm not the greatest at! I am not sure what I'm going to do - hang on at break-neck speed or fit in mid-level. I did my 20 years working 60-80 hours at week before I had my daughter. Tough choices ahead for me.
Otherwise, I'm doing ok. My throat hurts all the time - that's pretty much the only side affect I'm experiencing now - anyone else?
Anna, Jan, Monica (hope you're back soon!), Phil and Kiwi - thanks for your replies. I don't want to drift away. I have noticed when I don't at least lurk here, the craving are stronger than when I'm hanging around at least reading.
Wow, that was boring LOL but good to vent!
Marie
Thanks for checking in Marie.. I did miss you !
It sounds like your pain must be horrible and I do hope that there are med's out there for you to ease the pain.
Wishing you only the very best.
Your stats are looking super wonderful girl :)
Hope you will take some much needed 'me time' at some point. Sounds like you might need it.

Definitely thinking of you too, Marie. Glad to see your quit going strong. Do you finally get some time to rest?
I collated US tax returns in Toronto for the past 7 years, and like our Canadian taxes, it is boring stuff. Unless...you've got a nice fat rebate coming!!!!
No more taxes for me(except my family's). I work at a local school now and love it immensely. In fact in the beginning of my quit, just being with all the kids took my mind of off smoking.
Keep your great quit going and take care of yourself.
Cheers, Jan
