This corresponds to your point that many of us successful quitters have posted often. We give support when we can and we come here and get support when we need it. But to be more specific....this related character trait that all Hall of Famers have? Sore butt syndrome for spending so much time at the SSC! :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/15/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 566 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,151 Amount Saved: $1981 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 18 Mins: 7 Seconds: 40

Many many congratulations Pam! I have watched your journey over numerous months...and what a journey it has been LOL. You have come so far and learned so much. I did not realise until I read your story that you were so young - what I mean is that you have had the courage to 'face your demons' at quite a young age - and that takes a lot of growing and maturity. Today you stand tall and proud. Way to go! I came here to quit smoking. I have supported (my posts are way in excess of what is shown here) and I have not slipped. Being recognised by my peers for what I have done here is special but the award is a bonus that I never aspired to and one that I was not keen to accept. I relented and I am proud. (The keychain is in my pocket, the T-shirt is with my loved one). I quit smoking I achieved my goal. Job done but I owe; that is why I am still here. I think there were only a couple of people that slipped when I was first here in january of 2002. but there were fewer of us then also....the "peer pressure" was much worse in a smaller crowd of successful quitters ....you fought like hell to keep from screwing up. as to the mention of having more posts than is shown? well they redid this place a couple years back and we had to "rejoin"....in doing so we lost our number of posts....there were several of us with several thousand posts at that time. so my number of posts is way beyond what it show also....there are several people here of which that is true Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1763 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 70,532 Amount Saved: $10049.1 Life Gained: Days: 229 Hrs: 23 Mins: 54 Seconds: 0

BFS, Very insightful and profound :) We thank all our members for their support and know that posting can help and not smoking that first one will help you to succeed. We are always here for support and knowledge and we value everyone's opinion. The Hall Of Fame is a great honor to behold and can help validate your quit. The highest honor is that you have quit and stayed quit and have helped others along the way :) You are all truly Hall Of Fame recipients in your own unique way! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
