Hey Gonna, Loved your description of the freak show! I have starred in those shows, as well! My favorite was once when several of us were packed in this very small room, with little or no ventilation, swirling in the fog. So pathetic! Glad I don't star in those shows anymore. I love traveling alone from time to time. Order room service and spread it all out and eat in front of the TV. Set the room temperature just for yourself - how you like it. Hog the remote! Enjoy yourself! Say hi to the people you meet in the elevator! Hey, Gonna! I went to Chicago for business just as I was starting the Chantix, but was still smoking some. I stayed alone in a beautiful downtown hotel and really enjoyed my downtime in solitude. The worst part? The room just stunk! Even still smoking, I was SO struck by the nasty smell. I couldn't wait to get out of there -- wished I had gotten a no-smoking room. So, enjoy the smell of your lovely room and be so happy you're not part of the "freak show" any more. I know I am! Congratulations and keep the faith My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 122 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,917 Amount Saved: $976 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 1 Mins: 46 Seconds: 56

Being alone in a hotel has it's advantages. The last hotel I stayed in was during HELL Week and the smoking area was just outside of my room and my family pi ed me off that night. Actually, not my entire family but I'm protecting the "innocent". That was tough. Another time, I traveled on business while a closet smoker and the only assigned smoking place was at the front entrance of the hotel - isn't that awkward and funny. Have a nice trip and don't stay up too late watching those corny re-runs. Well gosh Gonna - If you would have told me where you were going, I would have flown to Texas, eaten your healthy food and fought over the remote with you!! I could lounge in the pool all day while you were doing "work" stuff. Our swimming pools are a little frozen here - Highways still closed in many places - PLEASE PLEASE take me to Texas! Geez, that's funny. I remember being in a freak show just like that. Toronto airport was completely smoke free, but the airport in Vancouver wasn't. Hubby and I made a b-line for the smoking room after getting off the plane. The smoke was soooo thick in there you could've cut it with a knife!!!!! Enjoy your few days in Texas. Whew! I have gone to Texas for a few days. At the airport I stood outside of the smoking room staring through the glass at all of the smokers. It was actually kind of funny...kind of like a freak show! Last year I starred in that show! Alone in the hotel I have thought about smoking...but have brought along plenty of distractions. A book, healthy snacks and I found this computer in the business center. :) I am rather isolated and I will be here just a few days for business. Another 'first'--traveling without my 'companions'. I am going to make the most of it. The best part is...I don't have to share the remote! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 152 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,640 Amount Saved: $1216 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 4 Mins: 20 Seconds: 56

I think I am done here and will be going home in the morning. Or...so I am scheduled. There was an interesting turn of events here, but I think they can finish without me. I am anxious to get home. N2k, I forgot my lysol, and now I feel so dirty. I've talked on the unclean phone, used the filthy remote, etc... I guess I'll go boil those germs off of me in the spa ;p And, Windy, come on down...I owe you for all those times I crashed your place ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 153 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,690 Amount Saved: $1224 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 6 Mins: 53 Seconds: 55
