I just started going to a therapist because I was experiencing panic attacks. The therapist does not know me too well yet, as I have only had 1 session. However, she did say that for now it seems I have "adjustment disorder with Anxiety". ?? Anyway, I was wondering, which type of therapist am I supposed to be seeing....or does it matter? My therapist is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who says that she does also specialize in Anxiety. Should I be seeing a Licensed Psychologist? Psychiatrist?? Or is it ok to continue with the LMFT? She seems great so far.
