BFS .. I love the way you beat the nicodemon down! And I totally agree with the way you are doing it.. coming here and letting it all out! In my other quits I failed to come here and just let it all flow out of me and now - my 3rd time and btw, LAST time.. you all can't get rid of me. I write and write.. posting here, there and everywhere. I agree with Phil's terminology - I haven't quit smoking.. I've STOPPED smoking and I believe that no matter how far along we come there will be something, a trigger, a bad time in our lives when suddenly we begin to fight a crave - The difference though is that the further we are in our stopping of this nasty, ugly and smelly habit we have so much more knowledge and we can SMASH IT down and stand firm with our resolve! All the best to you.. You are a strong person and I've gained much knowledge from your posts.. SUCH an INSPIRATION to me and other's! Lady, I think that you know better than any of us that just because we don't smoke doesn't mean that, even after this long, that we don't occasionally want to. This want has lasted for over a week now and I'm getting down right sick of it. I guess this was just my way of getting out some pent-up anger and frustration (plus the fact that I can't sleep!) I feel like I'm in Hell Week all over again! But as always, this too shall pass. (sigh) :confuse: Crave the Quit! Get the hell away from me! If you think that I'm going to smoke after 482 days, then you're crazy! Certifiably insane! Nevermind that cigarette I was eying last night... and the night before. Just because I WANT to smoke, doesn't mean I'm going to! So go away! Don't you know when you're not wanted anymore?! I said goodbye a long damn time ago, so you just need to turn right around and bother somebody else (but none of those good people at the SSC either... they don't want you around anymore than I do)! I don't know why you decided to show your face now after so long of being totally gone, but whatever your reason, it's not a good enough one for me to smoke! You're just wasting your time! I have better things to do than to be bothered by the likes of you! Leave me alone! GO AWAY!!! Crave the Quit! Pam p.s. I feel a little bit better now. BFS, WOW! You really let him have it! Good job! Sometimes all we can do is get back to basics and use those same coping strategies that got us through hell week. Once the craving passes, dig deep, find the root and learn from it. Keep persevering! Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

But you don't smoke Pam. So take some deep breaths. Your coping skills still work. Trust me, I've used mine a million times. The difference between early in the quit and now is that even when I think of smoking now... It is a much greater thought process whereas before it was a reaction. Consciously, it would be hard to smoke, even though we may think we want to. Have a coffee, with a touch of chocolate syrup and some whip cream like we use to do. Remember that??? :) It's much better than a cigarette! Hope you are feeling better.
