Thanks for bringing this forward. This is a principle that I try very hard to life by. Don't get to hungry, don't get to angry, don't get to lonely and don't get to tired. If one of these come in to play during my day it can though me off balance. The key for me to stay smoke free is to try and live a balanced life. If I get off track for any reason I can look at H.A.L.T and usually find the cause. There is another one I like also called K.I.S.S "Keep It Simple Silly (Stupid). Glad someone noticed :) Don't get to hungry, don't get to angry, don't get to lonely and don't get to tired. Aloha - I think it stands for hungry, angry, lonely, tired. As in times you are more likely to have a slip or relapse. ...and here I thought the Butterfinger bars would lift my spirits. Thanks for the tip, switching to vegies instead. Thanks! Thanks for sharing that, Sparky. I was just mentioning to my wife this morning that there was some acronym and hungry and tired were two of the words but I couldn't recall the rest. Now you have cleared it up. You probably hit the nail on the head with the diet thing. Too much sweets can make a miserable SOB even without withdrawl symptoms on top of it! Glad to have you here! Blow the horns!!!! Sparky's back. This is wonderful news. Such a strong lady. Never quit quitting. I get down on myself for eating too much of the wrong things. I feel so much better about myself when I'm eating properly. Sometimes its hard to find that balance. But like everything else, I guess it takes practice. We'll just keep posting here, and we'll get through this. So glad you're here, Sparky.
