Great post Jaset!!!
I have remained very positive since my quit on June 1, 2009 and determined to continue with that mindset. I know I have a long way to go and should I falter with negative thoughts, I will remember what you have shared with us. I lost my husband to smoking related cancer and do not want to be one of those statistics.
Thanks for the wake up with the cold hard truth!

Thank you Jaset.
And thank you Jim for bumping for me and everybody else!

Yes, some people need both, the sugar and the whip.
We coddle ourselves with rewards, are good to each other and ourselves as war as possible, loads of strokes and kisses and compassion.
But sometimes, a slap in the face can be VERY helpful (even if it des not correspond to today's educational ideas :-)

Currently, I feel sad- but that sadness can be transformed into anger. And frustrated and very truly furious at myself for certain weaknesses.

It is this anger and incredible fury I am going to tap into.

FIGHT, everybody!!

Hey Dave!!!

Thanks for bringing this one back!!!  I had to read the whole thing again and once again it gets me to thinking about my whole quit to date...  why I did it...  how I was able to accomplish this daunting task...

This IS a very powerful post that made me remember...  the tears have flooded my eyes AGAIN!!!

I am MORE committed than ever, once again, to continue kicking ash and doing whatever I can to help my fellow quit buddies here!!!  Commit to the quit, buddies and never look back!!!

Thanks Jaset (Jim) for having the kahoonas to post your thoughts and thank you, Josie for having the foresight to let it ride!!!

It's a great day to kick some nico-demon ash, buddies!!!  Have a great smoke-free day!!!
