A little advice from someone who shouldn't give it...don't go back to your regular smoking routine until the 14th. Don't consider yourself on "break" until the 14th. Look at and think about every cigarette you smoke with your recent quit resolve. Hate it. Want it gone. Rid it of its control, and control it... I JUST HAD TO MANY PRESSURES AT HOME WITH FAMILY PROBLEMS, AGAIN MY DAUGHTER, AND I LOST IT. I HAVE LET MYSELF DOWN AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS. MY DAUGHTER WAS ONE OF MY BIGGEST SUPPORTERS WITH MY QUIT AND I REALIZE NOW I JUST WANTED TO HURT HER LIKE SHE HAS BEEN HURTING ME. ALL I DID WAS HURT MYSELF AND MY HEALTH. I REALLY WANTED TO STAY SMOKE FREE, AS I HAD MADE UP MY MIND THIS WOULD BE THE LAST TIME I WOULD GO THROUGH ALL THE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS. I WILL NOW TAKE THE NEXT FEW DAYS AND GET MY PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!! I WILL START MY JOURNAL AGAIN, AND READ ALL THE POSTS AND GET READY FOR MY 1ST DAY AGAIN. I HAVE SET MY QUIT DATE AGAIN FOR 2/14/07, ON VALENTINES DAY. I AM GOING TO GIVE MYSELF A PRESENT THIS YEAR AND THAT WILL BE TO STAY SMOKE FREE! Well Slivers, you've got your priorities right - Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. You have learned that you can't quit for anyone else but you and you have also learned what a major trigger is. The next quit will be for you and you will be ready for those triggers. Good luck on Feb 14th. Slivers, Sorry to hear about you're relapse. Learn from this experience. What will you do in the future to avoid falling into this trap? Rework the tools of the program and start preparing. We will look for you on the 14th! Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

Luna said it so well. We can always find reasons to smoke. Anytime we want. After all we are addicts and are perfectly capable of justifying everything! I have quit so many times and given in for this and that reason. Finally, I decided I wasn't going to give up, no matter what! I kept telling myself that as long as I didn't light that next cigarette, I would be fine. I'm still not lighting that next cigarette. Quitting is much easier than telling your loved ones that you are dying because of your smoking. Think aobut how stressful that would be. You CAN do this!
