REWARDS.....

17 years ago 0 10 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Rewards... smoother skin? Really? I try to take good care of my skin since I'm over the hill and I must admit I'm pretty proud of the way it looks. No happy with the little veins that have popped up... is that caused from smoking? this skin thing is really exciting me!! I'm four days at 10 am PST and my reward is just to relax a little about my day to day events and try not to worry as much and permit myself to endulge... Marcy

Good Morning, I am only on day 7, last two days have been HELL, but we are making it. I look forward everyday to getting on this site and reading, reading and reading some more. I decided last night that for my first week reward I am going to get myself a pass to our recreation center (costs about $50.00) and start to work on my weight. I am only about 15 pounds over where I should be, but with the last week I know I have been eating more, so reality is coming soon! Next week its a manacure! Good Morning to everyone. (except to the nicodemon - you are no longer welcome here, we are free) I was just thinking that we need to hear more about rewards. I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me happy to hear what all my new friends are planning for their rewards. So, I wanted to start this thread and see what we are all doing. Who knows, it may help to pump up a newbie in their resolve to reach their goal. So here goes, I will start. My hubby and I are planning to take the kids on their first trip to Disney.....a wonderful Smoke-Free trip. This will be our 1 year reward, although with ticket limitations we may have to go a couple weeks early :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 506 Amount Saved: $165 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 39 Seconds: 44

I guess that I have accepted that I am beyond rewards now but I have had very many during my 3 quit years and they were all wonderful. Rewards are very important in the quit and I support and promote them wholeheartedley! All quitters, reward yourselves well, you deserve them!! What were my rewards? How long have you got? Rewards are a great way to validate a quit! It is true that there need be mo money involved and many rewards can be inexpensive. If you do take the money you used to spend and stash it in a jar, I would guarantee there would be a lot of trips, and spa days rewarded! I have even heard of members purchasing vehicles! Keep them coming, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team
