Ode to CallMeMomMom

MomMom and Nurse....You two are so wonderful. You remind me so much of me and my mom, although she has not yet taken this step. (She did just admit yesterday that becuase of my hubby and I, she has been thinking about it WoooHoooo) Please keep working together and know that you are an inspiration to us all. And even a reason to make my hubby laugh. Even though it was at me because now I cry at movies, commercials, and apparently internet posts.....but what the heck. I am right on your heals MomMom, keep gong so I can keep trying to catch up :) and Nurse, keep up the great work. What a wonderful way to show your mom you support what she is doing. Think of it this way, right now you are saving each other's lives. Dear MomMom, I know sometimes you feel that our family doesn't seem very supportive of you in your quest to become smoke-free. I wanted you to know that I could think of no better way to show my support for you than to travel this road with you. Frequently you say "you are not like me, you ARE me!". That being the case, do you think there is anyone in this world who is prouder of you than I am? I know what a challenge this is for you, but I also know that you are a fighter, and you have the determination, the drive, and the desire to win this battle. I have nothing but confidence in you, and you truly are an inspiration to me. I'm feeling more and more confident in myself every day, that I'm winning my own personal battle with the nicodemon. But just to prove to you what an inspiration you are, I want you to know that when the cravings do occasionally arise for me, the best way to talk myself out of it is to repeat "if my mother can do it after 40 plus years, this should be a breeze for me". That really is what works the best for me. Running a close second is the opportunity to create more little people who will call you MomMom ;p I posted this on here because I wanted everyone to know how proud I am of you, and because you truly deserve a moment in the spotlight for your accomplishment. In the words of Bette Midler (and some other less-famous country guy before her) "Did you ever know that you're my hero And everything I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle 'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings" I love you, Mom, and am so incredibly proud of you. You're leading by fantastic example now!! Ok, I know I'm still medicated from the flu and all, but boy, did I cry reading this! Nurse, this is the sweetest post for your (and our) MomMom -- and so sincere. MomMom, you're a lucky lady (and so are you, Nurse). You have each other -- that kind of support is worth everything. Keep the faith, shipmates!
