Hey Serenity. You are doing great! Good luck on you job interview. You can go to it with full confidence smelling like the strong woman that you are! Did you smoke when you found out you were losing your job? I think that would set anyone off! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 336 Amount Saved: $92.4 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 1 Mins: 43 Seconds: 18

Hey, Way to go. I had to let some people go with Lay-Offs the past day and more to come before Friday. Some of these people have been with me since 1996. SUCKS! Stress, stress, stress...Smoking never really seemed to help my stress, but I do remember walking out the back door of the office and grabbing a smoke when it came. Personal life is even tougher, but I am friends with the families of some of the folks we let go and that is impossible. Just the job I have, but not smoking has been tough the past few. Sounds like your in some boat too. I'm not gonna smoke, no f---g way. This has been hard, but not worth going back. My mind is flying, but this post helped ground me for a minute. Keep the faith. Jimmy The Mick NOT GONNA SMOKE ONE TODAY! NO WAY! Serenity2 Wow that should show you how far you have come...I think of it as rewiring the brain...In the course of this rather difficult journey, you have taught yourself how not to hurt yourself when involved in a potentially hurtful situation...Good for you, that is an amazing accomplishment... nonic

Serenity: That is SO terrific! You've really taken the power back, haven't you? Ol' nic just doesn't know what he's up against yet, but he'll keep finding out! And the best part is you undoubtedly left your ex shaking his head, wondering who that strong and powerful woman was. Ha! Keep him guessing and wondering! Good for you, Serenity. This will carry you even further. You go, Serenity!! I was in the same boat for many, many years. Being smoke-free does this self-confidence thing that is just indescribable. I'm like that obnoxious little kid from the self-defense commercials from some years ago: "Nobody bothers me!" Spouse is like, "Who are you?" Boss is like, "Oh. Okay then, sorry." Each "first" brings you a new layer of power; cherish and protect them all. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,596 Amount Saved: $500.5 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 18 Mins: 55 Seconds: 0
