throw away that cancer stick, just think about how you would feel if you actually did smoke it.. You would ruin a 3 week quit plus you would probaly cough and it's gonna burn your throat.. OUUUUUUCH ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 203 Amount Saved: $97.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 23 Mins: 10 Seconds: 39

PS; That isn't to mean it has been easy - it's been quite hard. Good luck and Rhonda, I hope things are going well for you and everyone! Phil, I bought it - it's sitting on my nighstand still ;) I did read ALOT on line when I first started this quit and thought his ideas new (to me anyhow). Really, I believe I only needed to want to stop, right?! Also, I'll meet you in IM anytime LOL (that was in reply to your mentor offer!). You've been a mentor to me since post #1. Thanks for that. Hi friends! I just posted about this - looks like we're all on the same page (Chantix page!). I started it December 25 - I would end on March 25. I've already asked my doctor if I can stay on it 6 months as I smoked 30 years, so what's 6 months and it HAS to be doing something chemical in my brain LOL. That said, it's expensive, so I may opt out after week 16 or so. I will not smoke again, I know that. I love the dreams - I talk in my sleep every night :) Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 37 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,111 Amount Saved: $277.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 16 Mins: 57 Seconds: 54

Aunt Deb- I'm doing better. I read the "book" by Allen Carr and it helped immediatly. I still have strong craves, but have fewer less often. I'm on week 12 of Chantix...I wonder what will happen when I have to stop taking this medicine!?? Has anyone stopped this medicine yet? It is going to be "day by day" for quite some time I'm afraid... Aunt Deb- I started taking Chantix in November. I slipped and smoked some but continued to take the chantix. I have not smoked at all this time.. 35 days now! I know that it is helping the withdrawals for sure and hopefully I will not have the mood swings when I stop taking it. Hi Everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but I read your posts everyday. I'm on day 22 of my quit and it feels like the first day all over again! I'm curious if any of you are feeling like this? I found a really nice cig butt left over from weekend company... i didn't throw it away and it's tempting me like crazy today. I feel tired, and worn down. I know that I MUST NOT give in. I guess I just need a (((((HUG)))))) from all of you, the ones who have been where I am today!! Maybe one of these days I can post positive thoughts and quit begging for help all the time! Thanks guys... I could not have made this far with you! -Rhonda My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 676 Amount Saved: $132 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 23 Seconds: 21

You know, MSN news page said that today was declared "Depression Day"... maybe we should all just spend the day at home taking care of ourselves and relaxing!!! I suggested this to my boss... he just laughed and walked out of the office! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 678 Amount Saved: $132 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 29 Seconds: 11
