I just got a call from my Doc. Bless his heart, he's working late this evening. Anyway, he told me that my chest x-rays are all clear! I can't say how worried I've been about this! Thank you all for your responses to my other post! Katy, you are right! We should be taking better care of ourselves. To never smoke again is definately a step in the right direction! I am on day 7, I haven't smoked. I call this a great day! Stay strong everyone! :)Pat. That's wonderful news Pat!!! The cough will diminish...I had one for the longest time as a smoker, and then shortly (my shortly I mean weeks...not months) after I quit smoking the cough went completely away. I can now laugh, sleep and talk without that horrible cough, it's really wonderful. Congratulations to you on making it through hell week. This decision to quit is yours and yours alone. We are here for support, but there are going to be the moments when your away from your computer...alone driving in the car....passing by the gas station (hmmmm, I think this happened to me this morning..LOL), and the nicodemon and addiction is going to taunt you...be ready for him and fight hard. Every craving and trigger you beat makes you that much more stronger for the next one. Congrats again, your looking great at 7 days....keep up the great quit!!!
