Getting through the day...

18 years ago 0 87 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hello, everyone. I'm not sure my title fits entirely...I'm in my 3rd day and I've been trying to watch our beloved Colts play. But I had to come up here to see what was going on and to post because of the craves... One of the best things I did for myself this year was to start smoking outside. It really helped to reduce the number of triggers I have. Like this. Being on the pc. I used to smoke like a train while I was on it (and off as well...) But while watching the tube (especially a game) I would go out to the patio for a smoke or two. So, I am trying to retrain myself now to come upstairs to check in here with you all instead. I've gotta say its working. Thank you for being here. I hope everyone's weekend is going well. Christmas Eve! Its so great! Merry Christmas friends! :)Pat. It's awesome that you have already done some rearranging in your life to assist you in this quit! It's really made a difference for me, the changes I made before the quit, and I do so hope it makes a difference for you. Look at your stats, you are almost 3 days! Aren't you proud? Do reward yourself often, even if it's only a coffee, a flavored water, a tv show you would not usually take the time to watch, or any little thing that you would not usually do for yourself, OK? ttin I know that it can be difficult however keep continuing to distract yourself as Windy has said, as your mind mind and resolve strengthens. Use your coping tools, walking, drinking water, exercise... drink water, chew gum or bit down on straws when watching sport programs.
