DAY ONE IS ALMOST OVER!!

17 years ago 0 45 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Well, I have almost finished my first day. It was cake early in the day, I had no urge to smoke and couldn't be bothered. Then late afternoon I started getting really edgy. Kept remembering the urge would pass in a few minutes. It did but came back again. I must say the Chantix has made this so much easier for me. I am a wreck cold turkey. It has really gave me a head start blocking that nicotine. Wow, what a difference. It is alot easier. I am going to do it this time. If I can make it one day!! That means I really will quit. LOL. A little concerned of how my sleep will be tonight. The Chantix makes me remember my dreams and then the withdrawel combined I don't know what I am up against. I will probaly try to get to bed early and watch some TV. I am safe there. There is no cigarettes for miles of my home and it is really cold and icky outside. I would rather curl up and watch a movie. Good night All.

TIME: Darn right you really will quit this time! You're already proving it to yourself, your biggest doubter. Never doubt this wonderful decision you've made and your ability to make it stick. To be a nonsmoker, you simply don't smoke. Simple, huh? Simple, but not easy. Just do whatever it takes to not smoke. I also used Chantix and yes, the dreams can be very interesting. They do go away, though, so for now, just enjoy the show. They're pretty colorful, as I recall. You're doing great -- keep it going! Way to go. Give yourself what you need and get all the sleep you want. Give yourself a big pat on the back and a lovely reward in the morning. Congratulations. Day two next down. That's a big step, getting through day 1. Just take it one day at a time. It really does get better. Gosh I can't believe I'm on day 42. It really does go fast if you don't dwell on it. Just keep busy and read all the posts you can and listen to all the advice you can from these posts. There is a lot of quitting experience here.
