lobelia

I only know lobelia as an annual in my containers. It's a very pretty, delicate flower. I had never heard of it associated with medicinal properties. I think I'll look it up. sushik My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,123 Amount Saved: $396 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 8 Mins: 56 Seconds: 59

Dear Bruce Listen to Healer. Do your homework. Lobelia is also called "indian tobacco" On a personal note, myself and 3 others I know had taken one (1) 50 mg capsule for the first 30 days of our quit. The chemical structure of lobelia is similar to nicotine in the body. Therefore, a smoker's body thinks it is getting nicotine when in fact its not. Lobelia is also a cleansing herb, so it "thought" to helpful to clear your lungs of some of the effects of smoking. I had a "cocktail" of vitamins I used, including B complex (boost immune), milk Thistle (clense the liver) and http50 (for my nerves) and the lobelia. This is the formula that worked for ME. But I did my homework and thought these choices out very carefully AND I stopped using them after 30 days. Don't ever think vitamins are OK cause they are sold in stores. They can be as dangerous as perscribed drugs. Lobelia can be highly HIGHLY toxic if misused. I am not a doc!! Bruce, As moderators we are unable to prescribe any kind of medications, herbal or otherwise. It is important to use your doctor and/or pharmacist as they have a world of knowledge to share. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
