I hate housework!

Wow Marie - Maybe housecleaning is a phase in our quitting process that noone ever told us about.....personally I don't like it much...my house still doesn't shine.......but it smells nice and clean....No smoke in my house! Hmmmmmmmmmm.....thought long and hard....but NOPE....i still hate housework! Jan...housework is definately out of the question for AT least 1 - 2 weeks unless you happen to enjoy it. I envy those people who have all kinds of energy just like I envy the people who have easy quits.....However, I'm afraid that I will never be able to turn housework into a healthy distraction (well...unless I could hire some tall, dark handsome fireman to do my housework.....then I could see the possibility that I might enjoy this distraction) But it's done and the world didn't fall apart while it waited either. Hey Jan...looking forward to checking in with you, Dee and Sparky at the end of the day! Windy, I would much rather read a good book than do housework. I grumble while I'm cleaning away. However, seeing as how I'm going to be a "new" non smoker, I'm hoping a bit of leniency is in store. I really might read that book and just let the dust settle around the house. Tomorrow will tell. Hi windy - Some of my bestest distractions had to do with cleaning house, so cleaning came in so handy most days... I got in the bathroom with an old toothbrush and bleach and cleaned grout and the tile :) Make it a distraction (?) and it may be a good ride for you! Oh - and try some peach tea - love, love love!! Congrats on your amazing stats! Windy - you sound like you have been a quitter like I was. Got nothing done. I always secretly hated :p those people who felt all energetic when they gave up nicotine. They cleaned and scrubbed and mopped and dusted. I sobbed and cried and slept and posted. I like your analogy about cleaning house and quitting - process sucks, results are awesome. Anyone who says this was a light filled heavenly inspiring process sure didn't walk in MY shoes. But boy the freedom is delicious. Windy, It is a great idea to keep up being occupied and housework is a great way to keep tidy! Unfortunately, it is not the most fun either :) Just think how great your house will smell! Take the time to make a list and work on it daily, don't overdo it and make sure you reward yourself :) Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
