funeral

Well I had my funeral today for the "butts." It is a cold damp day here with drizzle, how perfect is that. I dug a hole. Put the butts or as Phil calls them, dog end, a box Put a lable on the box saying "here lyes Dog Ends" 1956 - 2006. Poured water over them and coved them with dirt. I laid a boquet of dead flowers on the grave and said a small pray. I turned over my smoking to God. So tomorrow I will get up being smoke free. I took pictures. I have a really good reminder of how awful those things look. Short stumpy butts, ashes, burnt matches all laying there in their box. If I want to smoke all I have to do is look at that picture. I would put on my desktop, but I don't think my husband would like that :p In fact he thought I was a little nuts haveing a funeral. Jan, hope to see you in the morning. I have an appointment for a colonascopy in the morning, but will try and check in before I leave for that. What a way to start a smoke free life :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

:)I did the funeral thing on my last quit about8 years ago. It only lasted 5 months. This time I feel like it is my last quit. Oh and good luck on the colonoscopy, the prep is worse than the proceedure but it is an important one. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 225 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,871 Amount Saved: $450 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 11 Mins: 33 Seconds: 55

Sparky, Just look at the bright side of things, you'll be sedated for most of your first day :) You're going to do just fine.
Put a lable on the box saying "here lyes Dog Ends" 1956 - 2006
(lol.. I couldn't help but laugh when I read that.) Welcome back, Sparky. Sparky, now that those things are dead and buried, you can turn your back to the past and be a brand new person. Just remember we'll all be here for you, so holler out when you need a hug, or a shoulder, or a pat on the back. You can do it!
