Maria,
I know just how you feel, I totally identified as a smoker - i thought it was a big part of who I was. well, that is just junkie thinking! you are the same person only way better!!! you smell great- like your shampoo/perfume (for once), your breath is sweet and you have a more efficient day because you are not waisting so much time sitting out on the stoop (or where ever you smoked). it is hard to get used to, really hard but soooo worth it. just take it minute by minute if you have to and when your mind wanders towards smoking just direct your thoughts towards something else. if you entertain the thought of smoking you are only torturing yourself.
good luck hun.
