Laryngitis

Well, golly sloane, you can always take your temp the Textother way....lol But do take care of yourself, it does sound like a cold, and it may even need antibiotics. When you are stressed (like your 18 awesome days) your body is more vulnerable to such things as colds and germs. Do drink lots of fluids and rest too! And keep up the great work! i've been reading through some of these withdrawl symptoms. I don't have an issue with brown crud, but i am having an issue with my voice. i've got some kind of laryngitis (no voice) but i can't get an acurate temperature reading due to me not being able to breathe through my nose. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, if so, what did you do; if not, what is your advice? Sloane, I never had laryngitis, but I have found that I've had to clear my throat a bit. It almost sounds like you have a cold if you can't breathe through your nose. If you find it doesn't clear, go see the Doc. Can't hurt. Cheers, Jan

Sloane I've noticed at different points through my quit my voice has gone funny, haven't lost it totally but kind of like a cold when it goes crackly and stuff. I also get stuffed up, but i'm not sick. So could be due to your body healing itself from smoking if you don't feel bad otherwise. Sloane, Everybody's quit is different. Your respiratory tract endure years of hot smoke full of chemicals. It could be a sign of healing, it could be something else. Consult your doctor. It can't hurt. Have you ever tried a tympanic thermometer? You can find them at almost any drugstore. Danielle ____________________ The SSC Support Team
