I quit tomorrow.

Wow! I am almost 10 days in. That's awesome. I have been so busy! I am most definitely smokefree and had a hellacious weekend, which so far is followed by a hellacious week. I just seem to be running into temptation in every direction. I explained to one of my smoker friends that I didn't quit because I was out of cigarettes and I am seeing how long I can go, I have a pack if I would wish to smoke one, but I chose daily not to smoke one. She, I dont believe, doesn't get it! I also must laugh about this, because, even though I am on the wellbutrin, I still had a fit today that I loved, after the fact of course! My boss, was in this mood, or possibly in his normal mood, and I just dealt with his dry friggin humor better and today just did me in. I work for a lawyer, and today between the hours of 9am-10am he was in their over my shoulder dictating and not being specific and in a mad rush, and irkin my ass and I just had to hold my breath because I knew he was only there an hour today. I was so mad, by the time he was in the parking lot, I was jumping and stomping and banging my fists on my legs!!!!! I was so mad at him. Mumbling to myself, or muttering, and stomping around the office like a 2 year old (when he leaves I have the office to myself). If he wouldve been there longer I wouldve busted I know. He wouldve been scared. He wouldve thought I lost my mind. I really know that a bit of my extreme edginess is because of the no smoking. I learned I guess how to deal with being around smokers after I quit the first time I quit, and I know how it goes, and what I go through to hang out with my smoker friends, but I am not going and making new friends. If I asked them to move a bit away from me they would. They just figure I will be back smoking with them soon enough, and I won't! I just can't do that to myself, especially since I have made it to 10 days! that is great so far. Through hell week and moving. I Here is to tomorrow and hoping it is beautiful and smokefree! Hi guys! Thanks! Feeling great. Unfortunately my sinuses have been acting up, so I had to get on some antibiotics to clear it up. So I am now 12 days smokefree but I still feel like crap! :( I am still smokefree and really feel great about it! I am facing some upcoming challenges, but this past week was an actual week from hell and I made it through! I have to keep my quit separate from all of life's little dramas! It's really hard for me to smell lately so I can't say much on appreciating the nice fresh air smell. Hopefully next week will completely rock and I will have double the pleasure of my quit smoking benefits. They will be that much better becauase I have been sick, and didnt notice the first week's benefits. I just know that I am almost 2 weeks in and thats pretty cool and the time has flown. I am so friggin busy, and I haven't had a alot of time to think about it. I guess maybe the wellbutrin is helping too! Yippe! Just checking into my little quit page. I really don't post much, I almost don't have time to! I recently posted my stats. I figured two weeks was a good thing. I just like to keep posting in this little page of mine, to watch my journey and all. Still smokefree! Good luck I am on day 27 so must seem like an old hand to you! Do use the patches I find they have got me through. After about 10 days take a deep breath and see how much cleaner and cooler the air tastes! Keep busy do anything but smoke. In the early days I was going to bed early just to get away from the craving. Keep posting on this site and start helping newbies ,this way you will fill time and would also feel so guilty about a relapse that you wont smoke. It DOES get better but it is NOT easy. Anything that is worthwhile is rarely easy!! Rember that after day one if you have one puff you are back to day zero!!! GOOD LUCK Phil My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 523 Amount Saved: 110.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 9 Mins: 24 Seconds: 0
