Hi Kate I will remember the last 21 days for the rest of my (hopefully now extended) life. Having got this far stick with it!!!!!!!!!!!!! From my experience it does not gradually get batter it SUDDENLY gets better. In my case today(day 21) I SUDDENLY have lost the urge. I will never go back now!!!! I cut the lawns yesterday a job which always made me perspire heavily even in cool weather. You know what I was fine!!! Keep going for a few days and you will be great!!! When it is not your top priority to stop you have made it!!! Phil

came home last night!! and nico was here waiting for me!! Guess he lost me one week in Chios... Mom was here waiting to tell me all the news of their vacation! She said everything in one breath!! with a few cigs. I just took a glass of cold water and listened. Nico was there doing jokes on mom's packet!! i thought, one won't hurt!! I saw him smiling... but didn't last since i got up and went into the shower. He was gone by the time i was out. Then second test.. went to my friend (probably the only one smoker).. Nico was there, waiting for me. I told her,i'm 5 days smoke free! if i ask you don't give me! Nico was sitting with us on the balcony... he kept her company. But this time i didn't even see him! One wouldn't hurt,i thought again! Well,it would... after 2 hours with my friend, nico was just going crazy!! and i was so proud to get into my car and drive back home fresh and clean! i like that i smell good, taste better,my clothes are clean and fresh,my hair nice.. so much good things. And last night i saw something that i never saw before! my tongue!! it's pink!! clean! without little red spots! !! i never realised before..it always felt bad!! but last night i saw it was so good... i can write and write...my list can go on!! thank you all!! my hell week finishes today!! Kate, You have tested yourself over and over and you have come through gloriously! Continue to use those mechanisms and avoidance techniques and please post often. We are always here :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
