THANK YOU ERICON. I WISH EVERYDAY WOULD BE THIS EASY, BUT KNOW IT WON'T BE. I REALLY WOULD LOVE TO CHUNCK THE PATCHES AS ITS JUST ANOTHER COST, BUT AM SCARED IF I DON'T HAVE THEM I WON'T MAKE IT. THIRTY FIVE YEARS IS ALOT OF NICOTINE AND HABIT! THANKS AGAIN :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

GOOD EVENING ALL. IN ABOUT TWO HOURS I WILL BE SMOKE FREE FOR TWENTY FOUR HOURS. I WORE THE PATCH BUT IT FELL OFF SO i AM TRYING TO DO WITHOUT IT TONIGHT AND SEE HOW I FEEL IN THE MORNING. I WORKED TODAY, POLICE OFFICER. I HUNG AROUND THE OFFICE SOME AS IT IS NO SMOKING. I PLAYED IT SAFE AND STAYED AROUND PEOPLE I KNEW DIDN'T SMOKE. I WENT TO A NON SMOKING RESTAURANT, WITH A NON SMOKING FRIEND. I HAD A NICE MEAL (LIGHT) WITH WATER. AFTER LUNCH I GOT A LITTLE PANG OF A CRAVING. I STARTED INHALING AND EXHALING LIKE I READ ON THIS SITE. IT REALLY HELPED.WHEN I GOT HOME I STARTED DINNER RIGHT AWAY. AFTER DINNER I WENT FOR A SWIM IN OUR POOL AND EXERCISED IN IT ALSO. AFTER THAT I WATERED ALL MY POOR NEGLECTED PLANTS ON THE PORCH. I THEN TOOK A NICE SHOWER AND THEN CAME ON TO THE COMPUTER. THANKS TO THIS SITE I FEEL LIKE I HAVE THE WORLD IN MY HANDS, I KNOW THAT THE PATCHES ARE HELPING ALOT AND WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO USE THEM, BUT KNOW I NEED THEM FOR THE START AND HOPEFULLY I WILL BE ABLE TO KICK THEM SOON TOO. THANKS ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, AND CONGRADULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE MADE IT TO THIS DATE. Hey Peppermint, One day at a time, use your coping mechanisims. Do whatever you have to just dont smoke. You have just started your quit, be gentle with yourself and just keep reminding yourself of the reasons why you are quiting. If you crave, come in here and post, read and post. Keep Strong PrincessC :) x My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 549 Amount Saved: $234.6 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 22 Mins: 10 Seconds: 55

Good for you!! Sounds like you have a great plan. Don't feel bad about using the patches....do whatever works to keep you smoke free. Non smoking restaurants, non smoking friends, these all help tremendously. Also hot baths, relaxing, deep breathing...you are on the right track! Hang tough and congratulations on 24 hours of freedom!!! Peppermint! Congrats on your first day! You are on the right path so keep it up :) By distracting yourself and using coping mechanisms, you will avoid those triggers and be able to handle those craves. Keep us posted and let us know how we can help, Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
