March Shamrocks? - I haven't heard that term in a while....

Hi everyone. Today is my third smoke free day. Don't really have any craving to smoke but feel angry and am quick to start a "fight". If someone is looking at me I want to yell at them. I am at work and feel annoyed. Last night, I was trying to pick a fight with my husband. I feel so sorry for him. Is this normal? I am taking wellbutrin to help me quit. Could this be the cause of "mental state"? Tweety, You may be reacting to the Wellbutrin or you may just be suffering from nicotine withdrawals. If you feel overwhelmed or the mood swings worsen, consult your MD. An adjustment in dose may be in order. Otherwise, start developping new coping mechanisms. Our online quit program will help you do this so start working through it. Don't forget to have a reward system in place and let us know if you need any help. Keep persevering and congratulations on 3 smoke free days! Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

I'm still here and it gets easier don't even think about smokining. My last big reward was a puppy and believe me it is a distraction that keeps me busy as I crate train, housebreak and train the tiny little furball. Going for walks comes next when she gets bigger. The weight gain seems to be dropping also.judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 150 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,911 Amount Saved: $300 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 15 Mins: 17 Seconds: 32

You feel angry because you have no nicotine in your system. You'll get over it. Really. Take some deep breaths and relax if you can. Go for a walk, drink plenty of water. Quitting is tough, but you can do it.
