Way to Go Quitter! You are a non-smoker! Going to events like that are hard but we know now that we don't smoke and don't want to...amazing, isn't it? Congrats on your five months - you've done an awesome job. Cigarettes Not Smoked

So I went to this massive party at my alma mater, kind of a reunion thing with bands and hot dogs and drunkenness lots of old friends...most of them smokers. I didn't smoke!! I was really worried about the temptation because these are the people I started smoking with, and because this is the type of situation that I bought cigarettes for, when I first started smoking, and because I knew there would be moments when a cigarette would be just the thing, would feel like me. But it wasn't that bad! I definitely craved, but I didn't even consider grabbing a cigarette and lighting. I knew how disappointed in myself I would be if I smoked. I just kept in my mind all of the reasons I didn't want to smoke. I may have become a bit of an annoyance to the smokers, perhaps, but I didn't smoke!!!! Now I can go anywhere and do anything and know I can handle not smoking without ruining my fun. It takes preparation and mindfulness, but it was worth it. Smoking isn't me anymore! Oh, I also wanted to share my five-month reward. It just worked out to be about five months, but I've been working on it for a long time. I got a new job!!! The one I have is stressful and lonely and very very deadline driven (I'm a bureau reporter). My new job is going to be much more pleasant and goal-driven and friendly. I'm going to be a marketing coordinator for the red cross. This is my last full week of work at my old job. Anyway, that's all here. Hope everyone has a lovely, smoke-free week.
